Hunter Black Page 0031 – The (Basic) Truth About Sordon

Will's and my most egregious early screw-up is probably in Panel One. Iosephus CANNOT see the ghostly Sordon, but he's pointing right at him. The dialogue might make that truth more evident...but it might not. You can never trust readers to read every word, so your storytelling needs to be tight...and here, ours wasn't.
Nowadays, I would reach out to Will before we posted this and have him adjust the page...maybe doing something as simple as having him just reverse Iosephus' orientation on the page. Back then, however, I was loathe to make that request, and so I resorted to giving an explanation in the commentary.
Never put yourself in a position when you don't trust yourself or your audience. Tell your stories clearly.
Look what I found! I found a version of the script before we edited it down. (Thank goodness we edited it down. God, can I overwrite.)
