Hunter Black Page 30 - A Ghostly Warning


Here's a learned lesson: this is one of the first pages in the comic where I opted not to add any commentary to the page. On the one hand, there was no obvious piece of world-building begging to be explained. On the other, we were 30 pages into the comic at this point -- we'd been posting for FIFTEEN WEEKS. That's long enough to create an expectation in your readers.


So the lesson here is, don't start doing something in your work if you can't keep it up. Don't design characters and locations that you don't want to draw, don't give your characters names that you don't want to type, and don't give your readers extras that you're not going to be able to keep up with. Don't fail to live up to the expectations that you create for yourself.
