Hunter Black Page 20 - Very Unprofessional

Here's the thing...when I wrote this, I didn't know that I just screwed the pooch by having Hunter bushwhack Vermis Riid. I just knew that I was getting to write a scene where the dead guy's not as dead as everyone thinks. This is a classic trope...almost a cliché...but it's a classic for a reason. This is Hitchcock's bomb under your seat in the movie theater when no one knows it but the audience. This is the building suspense.

This is fun. When the time comes, don't deny yourself the fun of indulging in a classic. I mean, you have to know when the time has come (and when all is said and done, I think I did okay here)...but sometimes, it's okay to let the butler do it.
